Adding Excess Stock to Your Marketplace

You can quickly list excess inventory on your marketplace using the Continue system. This guide walks you through the process step-by-step and ensures your products are ready for customers to discover and purchase.

Install the Headless App in Shopify

Before anything else, you need to connect your Shopify store to your marketplace using the Continue Headless app.

  • Ensure your Shopify account has permission to install apps.
  • Install the Headless app from the Shopify App Store.
  • Once installed, the app enables your products to be listed and purchased directly from the Continue-powered marketplace.

    • Add Products to Your Marketplace

    To list an excess stock product on your marketplace:

  • Open the product in your Shopify admin.
  • Click Publishing, then select Headless to publish the product to the Headless sales channel.
      This ensures your product is available for purchase via the marketplace, not just your main Shopify store.
  • Add the continue-stock tag to the product.
      This tag signals that the product should be synced to your Continue marketplace.

    • Important:

    Ensure your product is set to “Active” in Shopify.

    If it is not active, customers will not be able to view or purchase the item on the marketplace.

  • Confirm that the product appears correctly in your Continue marketplace.

    • Enable Offers (Optional)

    If you want to allow buyers to make offers on excess stock, you can enable this feature and configure your discount settings.
